Shots were taken Sept 9 with my Cannon S2 IS at the Boston Common's.
The girls are hot, some pics are over saturated.
And are not as crisp as I like either. : (
(There not that bad as I would not be posting them if they were)
I have many "Non" beach pics and have decided to post these pics instead
of my usual beach pics for the next couple of months.
There has been some discussion here in the past that many persons prefer non beach candids over beach candids. (I love all candids of beautiful woman in any setting, but beach candids happen to be my main passion)
In my ego driven craze to up my rep to a "2" from a "1," I have decided to perform this approx. 2 month experiment of posting non-beach pics only, in the hope of getting more folks to enjoy my posts enough to actually rate the ones they like.
Thank you very much to the 5 persons who have rated my posts out of the 100,000 plus times my posts here have been viewed . You cool folks are in a extreme minority.
(Actually 2 of the 5 ratings were "Sympathy" ratings from my post in the"Talk" section asking what was the deal with this whole "Rep" thing)
I must admit that having posted over a thousand beach pics to this group at least, (Not posts but pics) and with over 100,000 views to these posts, I want to see if this lack of rating feedback is because people prefer street candids and such more than beach pics?
I have noticed two members who are only rated a rep of 2 and their pics are better quality than mine. (Great Pictures and Thunder Pixx) I have been going through there past posts over the last weeks and rating the ones that are truly amazing. These guys should have higher reps, please look through their stuff and rate the great ones, they have posted many.
These guys are incredible photographers with great equipment and deserve more respect for their work.
Then I see a couple persons (Not most) with reps of 4 and 5 who's pics (In my humble opinion) are not nearly as good nor do they post pictures as often.
So, I do tend to believe that the WHOLE "Rep" rating is more of a popularity contest and about kissing butt to members than quality and quantity of pics posted. Not what it was intended for.
While I won't kiss anyone’s butt, I will attempt to change my posting subject matter as an experiment to see if maybe this is why my posts are rarely rated.

Loved em.I love all beach and non beach candids but prefer the pics of women in street clothes.I just find them to be sexier.Great pics.Thanks for sharing.

Ahh, good ole Boston Common, I just checked my archives and saw that I was shooting around there 4 days after you were! Wow those blondes in the mini's are fine fine fine, you did good to get so many shots without being busted, at least more than once. What happened with your cam, was the metering set funny?

Red, non-beach candids rock and are by far my favorite. But unless you live at or near a beach, how many friggin beach pics can one take? Yes of course there are some sensational bikini shots here with lots of skin but to me this environment becomes boring very quickly, I like variety.

I'm not a fan of the rep thing and really don't pay it much heed as it seems like more of the proverbial male pecker matching; I actually liked the star rating (inspite of it's complete subjectiveness) as it at least it gave you a feeling of a pat on the back and some temporary fame.

I've also found there can be a difference in shooting/posting what I like vs what I know most board viewers will like (and thus respond to with feedback), so I kind of compromise and try to mix things up.

So my 2 cents of advice is to just post what you like to post, don't mind your rep thing, and to simply work on improving your art and technique for your own satisfaction.

Fine fine work Red. All of your work has got a certain quality about it that is extremely pleasant. Although I personally adore beaches and the exposure it usually affords, I rarely shoot there as it's usually such a high profile location. My intrests run more to the street, but I'm no stickler to location. I basically ignore the whole star/rep thing. How seriously can you take it when members that rarely post, have upwards of 3 or four stars? Is 10 stars a joke? I feel words work much much better than numbers or star.s I'd feel bad about turning your post of beautiful common girls into a talk subject if you weren't the instigator. So... in liew of the yakking,

And, btw, I'm wondering about the potential for cuties perching on that bench in a few weeks; I'm comin' for turkey.

These are great shots, IMO. They have a "Technicolor" sort of feel to them and the girl in the print shirt is a champion-class cutie.

I like all kinds of settings too, beach or not. My main concern is just for the subjects and the moments you catch them in, and they're both great in this set.
