Your Rights When You Are Stopped or Confronted for Photography

Sorry if someone else has posted this, but I HAD to let it be seen. This was brought to my attention by an old friend, and I thought everyone would want to see it. Its good news for us IMO.

Since I once had my CF card taken from me, Its nice to know that they can't do it again! Even the police need a Court Order to do it! At least, in my state (which is North Carolina). I checked with a lawyer on this, and I have a case against the guy who took my card! Wish me luck !!!

but if a cop wnats ta be a pRicK, it can ruin yer day, or two or three....

Some things to remember when approached by the cops is that when they ask you the first question, it is ALWAYS to establish:

1. jurisdiction; or

2. consent.

The best thing to say is "I am minding my own affairs, and I would thank you to not involve me in your affairs."

The fact that they are asking you questions proves beyond a reasonable doubt that they do NOT have jurisdiction over you without your consent.

Remember the Declaration of Independence? Consent of the governed?

Everything today is contract. Keep your lips zipped, and don't try to explain ANYTHING to them.

Anything you say WILL be used against you, most likely to establish jurisdiction.

Since I don't have any pics to post yet, this is my contribution. Questions welcomed.

thanks for the link. There is also a link to the UK legal rights pdf. I don't know if the laws are about the same in Ireland but I will try and google.
