Squadrillions of Pictures, What to do?!

So, last summer and this summer I've been squirreling away pictures of chicks from this boat rental place where I work. All of them were shot with a Canon Powershot S2IS, mostly with the teleconverter lense. Most were also shot in burst mode, meaning that I have lots and lots of pictures (About 42,000 right now, probably 50,000 by the end of the season) and many similar looking pictures. I won't be working there again next summer, so I don't really care if anyone finds out. (Not sure whether or not I was doing anything illegal, but I'm sure I would be fired if higher management knew...)

Anywho... How do I go about dealing with all these images? I know that I should start deleting some of them, but how do you pick which ones? If you have 10 images that all look fine and the subject is in a slightly different position in each one, how do you pick which ones to keep and which ones to delete? What do the other burst fiends do?

What about hiring someone to help me select from and enhance the pics I have?

What about doing a paysite? How much content is a good amount to start one? Does it matter that many of my pictures are of 15-17 year old girls? (all nn)

And you don't need to mention that I should post some of them!

I'll post a lot of them here after the summer season's over (Late Sep).

I'd say pick one of the best from each set of subjects, PS that one, post it, copy what you want to keep onto a CD and delete the rest off your HD.

Like Pixelated said I'd just chose the best shot(s) of each subject. If they are different enough you could keep more than one but if not I wouldn't worry about it. I don't own a paysite but your subjects are going to need to be 18+ and that also goes for posting them here.

picking the best is hard. but it's better to shot less than to show too much.

With that much material, you can delete all shots that are even slightly blurred or not in focus. Also if the framing or exposure is bad, throw away. If you still have multiple good shots taken with burst after that, just save them and burn 'em. You can do the picking of the best when you start to edit them. That also is one point when you start to look your 'good' shots a little differently, when you get the editing eye.

OK...I think the guys have given you some good advice on what to do with them.

Now, about the paysite thing: You'd probably have enough to start one and keep it fresh with updates. One thing you absolutely do NOT want to do though is put anything that has a hint of being underage on a paysite. The folks at the various companies that handle the credit card charges really watch that stuff--and will make you take down anything questionable--or withdraw their services from your site. And if peeps can't use a CC...well, that just wouldn't work.

And yes, Paypal monitors sites too.

Thanks for the advice y'all. I just started breaking them down into separate series. I'm going to copy a few from each series into a "best of" folder and modify those. My photoshop skills are down in the shitter, so I'll keep unmodified copies for now. I have plenty of harddisk space (USB Drives) so I'm just going to keep all the originals.

... As for the age restriction...

Why does it exist on this site and why would e-billing companies have a problem with photographs of girls under 18? This is especially puzzling since none of the pictures are of a lascivious nature. I understand that the site is trying to cover its own ass, but I didn't think there was anything wrong with candid pictures of folks that are under 18. Am I missing something here?

I struggled for a long time getting use to XP style. Guess it was all for naught, Vista is going to be even more retardedtastic.
