Canon EF50mm f1.8 at night test.

I bought a EF50mm f1.8 and just wanted to share some of my first test shots with this lens.

Nice...very nice!
That's a rockin' lens. You were able to use a fast enough speed so there is absolutely no shake whatsoever.

All hand held lowest shutter speed was 1/80 sec but usually set at 1/100 sec even use iso setting of 400 sometimes as some shops are so well lit.

Those are awesome shots Zeus. What aperture were you using Zeus? Since I've just recently got the XT and the 50/1.8 I'm curious as to what you used to achieve such crisp shots.

I dont worry about the aperture I set the camera to TV mode 1/80 1/100 sec and put the ISO up or down to get that shutter speed.
Some shop are well lit. Shots I took that night I was getting f4 at 1/100 sec on ISO 400.
These are just my first night shots with this lens will post more later if their is interest in them.

OK, cool. I'll have to give those settings a try as well. Your shots are awesome so post away. I'm sure there will be lots of interest in them.

very sharp images with that light conditions. This is a good tool, i put down for some ongoing auto-present
