I have found this site to be particularly inforative with regards to Nikon and Canon glass - http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/index.html

I am still in a toss up as to whether I should get the Canon 30D or Nikon D200. I am thinking available lenses will be the deciding factor. I still love my Olympus and the fact that they have taken the sensor dust issue seriously, but I am afraid the 4/3 sized sensor may be laking in higher iso performance.

Since I bought the Tamron it has never been off the camera, I am so happy with the results, I would recommend the lens to everyone.
Thanks all for the advice you gave

I hope this doesn't apply to you, but I just checked the price of that Tamron lens from one local webshop and it said on description that the lens in question is not recommended to Canon 350D cameras due to focusing problems in wide end.
