Canon 350D???

The rebel XT? I;m considering it? Ive read alot about it, looks good, sucks it does not have spot metering......but do any of you have any personal experience with it?? any tips and advice would be great! thanks!

Telephoto Ink also has a 350D ......he's been getting some killer stuff with it!

yea a few people on the board has that cam and it's can produce some quality stuff if used right. a good lens helps too

no real need for spot
especially for candid
just check your exposures on the fly and adjust

start off on a 350D w/ kit lens and a 50/1.8
then after you master the 50 add an 85/1.8
and dont be lured into the false promise
of a cheap do everything super zoom

i foLLowed that same advice an cuLdnt be haPPier that i did.

the 50mm 1.8 is excellent an only about $75 US
the 85mm 1.8 will be mine soon and/or the 70-200 4.0L

like DP said, DONT be sucked into a cheap zoom lens
its a waist of yer cash.

thanks everybody! I'll def. take the advice on the cheap zoom lens, and go check out some 50mm 1.8's!
