Advice needed

Hi guys

A friend of mine is going to the US next month and he agreed to buy me a cam. there. My budget is 500-750$. Do you guys have any suggestion on what to chose? Thanx.

How much do you know about photography?

If you got some points go for a CANON DR EOS 300.

Fujifilm 5100 is not a bad cam at all and is really low priced.

Sony F828 is a great cam too.

Sony V3 another option...

Now depends on your knowledge...

I do know a little about photography. I had an old canon before I got my first digital cam. and it was great, before it got stolen.
I was thinking about the canon EOS 300, but I heared alot of the guys here bought extra lenses and stuff, so maybe it will be expensive. I'll check the cams you mentioned and try to chose one
