You know what's sad, that's true. I don't know what the percentage is, but a number of the people that are doing the yelling and protesting were born right here in America. Not all of them are white, but it's sad that people living right here seem to be trying to do away with things that have been around for so many years. I don't know man, it may not seem like much to some people right now, but the things they are trying to get rid of, I think will affect the country down the road, and not in a good way. If they win one little battle now, what will they go after next?

I understand what you're saying and I agree with you. I wasn't lashing out at Vita's problems and agreeing, I guess I just saw an opening and aired my opinions about some of the things that are going on in this country that I don't feel are for the better of the people that live here.

And I DEFINITELY know that there are many minorities in Iraq and Afghanistan putting their lives on the line everyday for what is supposed to be in America's interests. It's unfortunate that anyone has to be over there, in that situation.

i used to work in a kitchen had guys that knew very little english but every day i would grab something and point to it saying qui? se habla en espaniol and then say engles and then say it in english say i needed a towel and they didnt know what i was talking about i would grab it and say en englies esta towel and then ask gui en espaniol and now you can speak in english to these people hell one is even gotton so good hes wrighting a book in english . thats the truth do that and they will take more liking to you and teach you spanishyoull all have a lot of laughs cause neither will pronounce a lot of things once ..... and you can have a lot of fun for instance one dishwasher asked me in spanish he said how do u say have a nice night so i told him KISS MA AZZ BY BY and while saying it smile and wave by was funny as hell when he said it to the waitress and told him to say it to Satan but i gave Satan a heads up by saying look what he learned in english and told the dish washer to say it was hillarious

yea english should be spoken only . heck if i go to mexico and go into a school i have to speak spanish or they would through me out . but like i sad in another post how i got them to learn english and also explained you learn english you move up the latter faster and youll be suprised how much some of them do want to learn i mean some dont but those that do come to love this country and go on to getting there residency and green card . i had 1 guy get his green card and join our beloved armed forces cause he loved this country and dont call him elsalvidorian he will go crazy and say im Arican Like you are ...I wish we had more real imigrants like him not illeagle allians

Hey fellaz this myth is really a rotten one that unjustly characterizes our
military forces. The Americans that serve are volunteers, of which many choose
to serve multiple tours. You might think that those that volunteer are/were
doing so for socio-economic reasons and thus a disproportionate number of
volunteers 'doing dirty work' would be minorities. This is not true. Different
peeps join up for different reasons. Historically black Americans do join up for
opportunities in training etc. However, in our military, you can join different
arms of service and as such set yourself up to learn skills in support roles
rather than combat. It is the white middle class kid, usually an adventure
seeker, that is signing up for combat duty, especially the elite forces.

You can see this in the New York Times article published a few days ago:

Among the first 1000 who died in Iraq 13% black, 13% hispanic, 70% white ,5% other
The second 1000: 8% black, 9% hispanic, 78% white, 5% other

All the guys fighting for us don't need myths that disparage thier efforts,
especially those that are racially motivated. The brothers in arms are there
because they want to be.
