Don't know what content tags are?
My definition for tags: Tags are short keywords that define what your content is all about. Official tag definition: "A tag is a relevant keyword or term associated with or assigned to a piece of information (a picture, a geographic map, a b log entry, a video clip etc.), thus describing the item and enabling keyword-based classification and search of information. Tags are usually chosen informally and personally by item author/creator or by its consumer/ viewers/ community. Tags are typically used for resources such as computer files, web pages, digital images, and internet bookmarks (both in social bookmarking services, and in the current generation of web browsers - see Flock). For this reason, "tagging" has become associated with the Web 2.0 buzz. Typically, anyone digital content item will have one or more tags associated with it." Tagging your threads has become an important component of the site process as it allows other members to extend the reference labels, associations and search keywords by which any type of content can be found. The benefit is a wider distribution of your threads and more opportunities for those seeking it to find it. Tags are associated to the content so hyperlinks they generate are intended to be visible links on pages and posts. So, if you want to increase your thread exposure and visibility while making it easier for others to find your content, tagging your threads is definitely something you may want to start doing sooner rather than later. |

I like tags as well. On other sites, I even had the habit of going multi-lingual with them. Here, we are limited to 5, so many times, I don't even get as many in English as I would like. I usually focus my tags on what they are wearing, event name, and/or location. It would be kind of redundant to use the tag "female" or "woman" here, so I don't use those.
