SciFi Fan...?!? A "must-see" movie...FREE!

First off, a big THANKS to Rogue Trooper for turning me on to this movie and it's website

The name of the movie is Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning and you can download it for free from their website...NO strings attached. It is a full length feature, a little over 90 minutes, is in .avi format (xvid, to the exact), 554 MB filesize, and is of great quality and sound. Thanks to the guys who made this film. My hat is off to them for making it and for allowing us to download it for free. Okay, now ABOUT the movie...heh heh heh.

It is awesome...if you have ever been a fan of Star Trek, you'll appreciate this movie. Also, it spoofs Babylon5 quite a bit, as well. It is very funny, with lots of "tongue in cheek" humor, including the dialogue, names of things, ships, sight gags, etc. The special effects are top-notch...amazing, really. The storyline always moves forwards and is interweaved well with all of the CGI. Yeah, sure, the acting can be amateur at times but I think it only adds to the overall grit and feeling of the film. The language is Finnish so be sure to download the English Subtitle version. And most of you will need to watch it on your computer, since it is in .avi format.

I don't think you'd be sorry if you took the time to download and watch it, if for no other reason, to preview it and see just how well these guys did on the special effects. And I could go more into the storyline but don't want to spoil anything for you. Oh, and again on the special effects...lots of action-packed battle scenes in space...they really did a great job! lol

i am not a big fan of sci-fi reallly. thanx for the notice and review though? does it have 'space hooters'??

Hey, I've seen that! It's surprisingly good, especially the special effects.

Based on your review, I've got to see the movie.

I love the sci fi stuff and a parody is always more funny when you get all the references and jokes.
