I've always been in an obvious minority as an American who is obsessive about his spelling and grammar. I never cease to be amazed at all the supposedly highly educated and/or intelligent American-born citizens who can't spell worth a damn. On the other hand...as someone who is unable to do even the simplest equations without a calculator, I've never understood how people can find math easier than English.

And BBL...I've found that those whose native language is not English have very few grammatical and spelling errors. Maybe it's because they try harder to get it right.
