View Full Version : Candid cop photos?
the boss
04-29-2005, 12:18 PM
We're working on the next issue of Candidomag.com and I'm in need of candid cop photos. If you have some, please feel free to post. I'd prefer if you did donate some, you put your own mark on them so you get credit for the photo as we'll give you credit.
I had some awesome ones, but my cd is scratched beyond all repair :(

These are all nice. I like the girl officer with the sunglasses, and DP's shot from behind the cop is good..

Thanks, RazZi. I went to Sweden once, and went to a hockey game between the two big rivals in Stockholm. After the game, the place was crawling with cops all in riot gear--just in case. Well, down by the train station, they had the riot gear on but not the face masks.
In Sweden, it seems almost everybody speaks a little bit of English--at least enough for a Yank to have a conversation. At this train station was a stunningly beautiful woman--one of the prettiest I've ever seen in my life--even to this day. And she was a cop.
So, I decide to try to start a conversation with her.
Of course, luck would have it I would pick the only woman that knew not one lick of English.

snappin - you still havent gotten your camera back ? how can that be ? why doesnt your lawyer just sue them ? 4th amendment mean anything ?
SnappinT
05-02-2005, 06:58 PM
heh, no....our lawyer suggested we find another one that would do it on consignment and it's a tempting thought, if they gave it all back today I probably would say just let it go rather than bring it back into the limelight again. It's been almost 11 months!

if no charges are being filed then how can they keep your camera ? are you leaving something out of the story ? If I was in your place I would be charging the police with theft !!!! something isnt right

the reason it was dismissed from general sessions was so it could be expedited to a grand jury. They need a true bill (which means a jury has to decide overwhelmingly if it's worth taking to court) but they can take as long as they want apparently before they do that and until then they can hold our equipment as evidence.

have any of the people that you took pictures of that day been identified and/or contacted by either your counsel or law enforcement ? The reason I ask is because these people would be the "victims" and I wonder if they in fact want to press charges against you.

They did track down a girl that very night BUT those were the tamest most tasteful pics I took, ironically.

thanks. two of the guys were really giving me some evil looks. i heard one of the suspects ask a police officer to make me stop taking pictures but the officer told him i had the right to be photographing whatever i wanted. thankfully these guys will be going away for awhile or else i would be afraid of them coming after me, lol.
SnappingT - if they dont have any of the people that you took pictures of then who are the "victims" ?? Sorry if i keep asking so many questions but this case just scares me and pissing me off at the same time. Did any of the subjects press charges ? the police cant charge you if there isnt a victim !!! Dude, let me be your lawyer. I would win your case easy. Also, if I was you I would excerise my right to a speedy trial and get this shit over with.

It wasn't anyt "victim" that was pushing the issue, it was the arresting officer who pushed for it. The "victim" had no idea anything was up until the cops told her and I'm sure it was dramatized to the point it scared her.
The lawyer said the longer it took for them to do anything the better our chances are.

Here's one I shot a few weeks ago. I was pretty far away, zoomed in as much as possible. Not too often you see the fairer sex in cuffs.

Looks tough doesn't he? After pulling the car over in front of him, the guy started backing up to keep from blocking a driveway and backed into the cop's car.
