I've heard people in here that know how to get to the heart of the photos to see what the shutter speeds, ISO settings, aperture settings, etc. were for that shot. Can someone tell me how you do that? Thanks.

Thats called the EXIF info. The fastest way to get to it if you have the original is to right click on the file, go to properties and click. Then go to advanced and there it will have all the info

I've had other people tell me about my settings after viewing my photos though. Are they doing the same thing?

I didn't know about the "right-click" thing. That's cool. I've been getting EXIF info via Photoshop. Shark, there are also some programs out there that you can read and alter the EXIF info, depending on your needs. It's a great way to analyze your technique and experiment with what settings work best

I use the program Mort does. Of course, if the EXIF is stripped, it won't help. I like viewing the info, especially on a great shot. I want to see the setting used, and use it as a tool to help with my shots.

I also use the one Mort and Archman use. It was posted here once so I downloaded it. I wasn't aware of the method Boss mentioned.
