URGENT ::: FOR ALL CANDID SHOOTERS :::::

I just saw on a website a new band that has a new music video out. The video consists of ALL candid video and pictures. Many of them look familiar and even from people possibly on this board. I know there are rules against posting links so if the mods say it is okay then I will direct people to the link. The band has clearly broken the law and I think some posters here might be fixin on making some money.

Ummmm...I'm not a mod, but I don't think there's anything wrong with posting a link, especially if there's a chance somebody's copyrighted material has been infringed upon.

Hmmm...I definitely saw some Falcao video...and I think I saw some of Dom Aparicio's too. Whose shot is that girl in the Billabong shorts? That belongs to somebody here too, I think. There's also a shot of a girl in tight jeans that somebody used as their avatar at TCB.

DP's skater girl would be a star if the music was anything remotely close to good. And I don't think that's the old fart in me talking, either.

Archman- as a punk rock afficionado you are right, that music SUCKED. I am kind of jealous my work wasnt featured in the video. I would be pissed if it was but flattered at the same time, lol.

ONE of the pics is Nightshades that "Haley" (Doctor X) uses on TCB.

So what do you guys think...if your material was on there would you ask them for some money ? Would you demand that they take it off ? What would you guys do ??

I think it is a cool video. Nice vids and pics, and I even kind of like the song. Here is something I wonder, is it ok to put copyrighted music into our videos but not for someone else to put our copyrighted pictures into their music? Well only a few here have videos with music. Anyway, I enjoyed seeing this video so I'm not going to complain about its existence, I'll leave that to people worried about this stuff. Next time I just hope to find something of mine in his sequel.

Shit, that guy tried to promote his stuff on TCB. I didn't see the video the first time, I just thought it was random spam and moved it out of the posting forums. I recognized I lot of those shots.

The guy has some nerve, stealing content from a web forum, making a video from it, then trying to sell it back to the people he stole it from!

Sorry, I got that wrong. The guy who made the video didn't post at TCB, it was somebody else trying to bring our attention to it. Unfortunately, I looked at the wrong video (the Al Gore one) so I just thought it was a spammer trying to misdirect traffic to that site.

I think it is kind of bizarre because they have this vid on their commerce site which I imagine they share with their friends and family, and any potential business partners or investors or promoters. So their video is full of stolen pics and videos and butt and breast shots of god knows who, how do they explain that? But maybe punk rockers don't have to worry about such things.
