Shark

Hey there again to everybody. I've never come into this section of the board before tonight. I've always just stayed near the photo sections. I was just kind of tooling around tonight and noticed it, saw that alot of photographers have kind of introduced themselves, so I thought I would attempt to do the same.
Folks call me Shark, I've been into photography for about 25 years now. I've never taken the time to learn the ins and outs of a camera, so unfortunately I don't know all there is to know about f-stops, shutter speeds, white balances, ISO etc. that someone else who has been doing it for the same amount of time knows. I've learned alot just these past four months though. My photographs were mostly nature pixx back in the 80's and into the 90's. When the little squigglies reached mama's eggs, we had a couple kids, and my photographic interests leaned towards the kids, birthday parties, Christmas, along with my nature shots.
In 2002, I took some shots at a few of my sons' baseball games with my 35mm Nikon. Got my first digital camera in December of that year, a 3.2 megapixels Toshiba. Pretty much went from nature photography to sports photography in 2003, and have been doing that ever since. Every now and then, if something "naturely" catches my eye, I'll take the shot, but I've focused mostly these past two years on motocross races, and baseball and football games.
Went to the 5 megapixels Sony Cybershot in early 2004, and in December of 2004, moved up to the Canon Digital Rebel. At that point, started taking photographs at hockey games, because this camera was able to handle the indoor shots better than the other two. I took a couple candid photos during one of the games in early January 2005, and have been hooked on candids ever since. I like getting shots of everyday people, doing everyday things, without them noticing me doing it. I like clear, crisp face shots, something I can't seem to always get with my camera, but every once in awhile I do. Nobody invited me to this Board, I just happened upon it once while looking for TCB. I was using Google, typed in a wrong letter, and all of a sudden, one of my options was Candidography. At first I thought it was TCB, because of the similar setup. Like I said in my letter last week, I used to post on both boards, but that became a hassle, and I figured I should only use one board. I decided to stay here and show my little corner of the world to you all in my photographs. I'm certainly not the best photographer in the world. I damn sure can't hold a candle to most of the photographers we have here, but I'm definitely not the worst either. So that's a little biography on the Shark for everybody. Oh, and one more thing I forgot to mention, I tend to ramble on and on sometimes. It's the 70's ya' know,,,,,boy they were fun. Gramps, you know what I'm talking about right? So if I haven't started doing that yet, I better sign off before you all kick me off for using up too much bandwidth with this novel I just wrote. I'll see you all everyday, and you'll see me everyday too. So for now, thanks for making me feel welcome here, and I'll catch you all later.
Sincerely,
Shark
