Hopefully someone can advise.
Currently I am looking for a pocket camera, with the possibility of using remote control as well. Why? Sometimes subjects get suspisious when they see you are taking pictures.
For example Pentax S-40 can be used with remote 37376 E 2 with release and zoom button.
Alternative would be Pentax WP5.0 , however according to the site www.dpreview.com, this camera has no remote control.
Do you have any suggestion which pocket camera might be an alternative?
Thanks for advice.

I have the D70 with a wireless remote, however the remote/setup is geared toward a deliberate setup and not handheld candid shoots. For instance, the remote has trouble when firing from behind the camera, which is dumb.
I think the infrared would have a problem in a pocket or on a bright sunny day. Plus you'd never be quite sure if the shutter fired. Make sure to test drive the camera/remote before you buy. With point and shoots, you can't exactly wear the cam around your neck because of the strap placement, so the cam will most likely be in your hand anyway.
I suppose you could wear the camera like a shoulder strap and get some vertical shots if you steadied the cam with the back of your elbow. I have used my point and shoot in my right hand down by my side, then I'll shoot someone to the right side of me without looking (very important :)).
Good luck!

how about the new samsung sports video camera which is slightly larger than a deck of cards, has a 660k sensor (and 1mp photo) and has a remote lens that could be held inside of your fist, on your jacket, or anywhere else? the remote lens has a stop/start button on it to, and samsung is claiming "dvd quality video recording".
i know i will own one soon.
