View Full Version : Do you ever see an ancient post twice?

It's a question i have to me for some time, particulary because on some replies to my posts some guys ask questions or do comments that deserve an answer. My question: it is useful to answer it, beacuse you'll see the answer, or it doesn't matter because you'll never see it?

I cant say that I havent seen a post more than once...but most of the time I dont...UNLESS I am expecting an answer to a question or I am curious as to what other members replies to a thread were.

I usually see a post once and "save as" what I like from that visit.

I would answer out of common courtesy whether anyone sees it or not, either by PM or the thread. I don't worry about bumping back the thread to the top since I know it'll be back to where it was in almost in a matter of minutes.

Nice snappin...pick on the old guy...On second thought,
I forgot the first thought...ah screw it I'll never remember anyway!

I'm guilty of seeing what certain people say....I sometimes
check out snappin's reply's to peoples posts...I have no fear..

I just came back to see what Gramps' reply to my smart ass comment was...I guess it's obvious how I voted in the poll.

Gramps in depends.....I suddenly have a mental image of a drunk baby new year with Alzheimers.

Internet Life Peeves.....(In no specific order).....

-People that don't answer questions I asked in a thread.

It is one of my Pet Peeves, posted in the "Bitch and Moan" section.......:)

So my answer is YES..

If I'm really interested in seeing the answer I will set the Notification type thingy to "Instant Email".

Most of the time I just think I'll remember that one next time I see it. Sometimes I actually do.

I'm REALLY REALLY bad about posting more in a thread I started.

I'm old school message board poster where it was considered tacky to bump your own threads. I forget where I posted and what section, so most times I just post once and leave.

Sorry if anyone posted and I didn't reply.

I put my settings on "individual emails" for all my posts and when i'm waiting
for an answer about one of my replys to the other members i do the same.
