Which video format do you guys prefer? Quicktime, WMV or other? Can most of you play both? How large is too large? Like if a file is 7 or 8 megs would that be ok with you? I'm on DSL...are most of you?

I prefer WMV because they usually offer the best quality at the smallest size, but I don't think you can play those on a Mac so they won't be popular with everyone. MPG/AVI comes in second. Quicktime is one of my least faves but at least it's better than RealPlayer.
Oh, and I have a cable modem so really no size is too large for me.

Thanks. I have 2 macs and 2 pc's. I have windows media player for the mac also, but I didn't have any luck creating wmv files with my mac software, which is Final Cut Pro and Cleaner. I'll definitely try to experiment some more. I'd rather use the mac for creating the clips cause that's kinda my workflow and all my video software is for the mac.
Did the QT files I uploaded play smoothly and clearly for you?

I guess the old fart in me comes out when I say I prefer mpg. MOV and RM are definitely my least favorites.

Yeah both vids looked and played great (really loved the slo-mo). I just hate the fact that I have to install a separate player (Quicktime) to view mov files. But I guess now that I've installed Quicktime it's no big deal.
I don't *hate* mov files, and if it's easiest for you to encode that way, go for it, so long as it means we more great vids like these from you! :)
