I'm not sure what the hell is going on, but I can't install anything anymore. It just freezes up during install.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
you got too much crap in your start menu and also, too many " running" programs at the same time.
click cntrl-alt-delete and see how many proggies you got open.....
you can safely clear everything except " explorer" and " systray"
Also, when installing a major proggy....unplug yourself from the net and turn off your AV program...sometimes it conflicts.
also....
hard boot.....then power up...count how long it takes to get to a stable page....
anything more than 1 minute...you got too much crap going on.
I just installed Norton AV and it took me forever...i thought my pc blew up...lol
i did all that stuff and it loaded 1-2-3....

Thanks for the suggestions cc,
I knew you were good for something......although still trying to figure out.
I only have norton corp starting, but will try installing wiht out my inet connection, my router has a bitch of a firewall
I also have 2 start menus.....
anything i dont "need" is in a seperate folder....
my problem was a few of those running programs trying to start up and freezing on their own....
so naturally, anything new was prevented from installing.
I booted and rebooted 20 times till i figured out what was holding me up...

I'm a hands on boss.
The reason why my predicessors failed is they never had their eye on the prize. Delegation only with absolute control over the end result
