I took a 2 hour seminar at a local camera shop on CS. It was somewhat informative but only 2 hours. I tried to enroll in a semester class at my local JC dedicated soley to CS but it was full. Any suggestions on ways to better learn CS.....other than just experimenting. Does Adobe run any seminars or anything like that ?

I've learned by buying books and experimenting.
Best thing is to go to the bookstore and browse all the Photo CS books.
If you see something in the book that you think is very helpful or
will teach you something cool that you didn't know go ahead and buy it.
Remember that if you don't put into practice what you've learned you'll forget it.

Another way to learn is by asking questions, lots of them.
there's always someone willing to help.

this might sounds kind of cheesy, but I want to learn how to get that "maxim" and playboy style airbrushing. Many of the models I work with ask "how come my skin doesnt look like the girls in maxim?" I explain to them that its because of the editing of the picture. I will post some examples in a few minutes

To get that skin in ps.. one way is just to use the blure, gausian blure.
Personaly i dont like that stuff, but thats one way of going, and if you only want to brush the skin and not the entire picture.., then you use you're selector (freehand, point and click) when you got you're selcting done. Filter>blure>gausian blure*

dont know if this was to any help but.. good luck :)
