Got the cam @ 3:00PM, charge battery...read manual..ran to a bridge by
my home...15 minutes,. click, click, click..ran back home...2 hours of
screwing with the files....Hopefully this weekend I'll get something to post

I've tried every combo of space, slash...can seem to get the thumb on the post...but I at least got it to open the way I want....to an image and then it can be enlarged and no pop up shit! small victory...

One suggestion...you should try resizing the pics to maybe 1600 x 1200

The cam feels great so far...to bad I only shot for about 20 minutes...and the pics I posted in this thread,,,I resized for image shack to just under a meg...2400x 1800 or something...The photos RAW were about 4 to 5.5 meg on the highest jpeg setting...Can't wait to learn how to love this baby! :)
On the high setting (extra) they come out 3200 x 2400 ( or so ) on the fine setting, about half that. Those are the 2 highest jpeg settings, there 4 total...the other 2 with I would never use were normal, and low.

RAW will eat up your memory...plus, you gotta go through all the post-processing to make 'em jpg. Your choice...but you're gonna need that memory on the beach!

I would use RAW only if I was shooting models.

shoot at the highest jpeg setting that way you can crop
and image will look great. you can always resize with any program.
1600 x 1200 is a very good option. or smaller pics for our fellow 56k users.

I mean't like just the straight image, your right the fine setting is 1 to 4 compression on for a jpeg .... The extra setting is 1 to 2 ratio....On fine you get about 300 pics or so 1 gig....150 on the extra setting...all at 8 meg

your pic's are clear as a bell...my problem was always my low megs...with the 8megs on the fine setting I get over 300 pics on a 1gig stick...the extra only about 150...although when I compared them side by side ( same pic's )The extra was clearer...But at 3200 x 2400...at 1600 by 1200 it's really hard to tell which is which....... :)

I bought it off an old lady...her son owned it...it was in pieces.
He modified the fucking thing back in like 73 ( it's a 67 )...Accually
the dimarzio pick up he put in the front is an old one from the 60's..
very warm...the original pick up in the back screams...roy bucannon
like tones.....I had to humidify the neck in a brace for 6 months to bend
it back...Gets hot in them attics...The neck is unreal...that old maple,
re-freted the piece of shit myself! smooth as grease lightening...And
yea would'nt I love it if it was untouched by the meddling asshole. Still
it's pre-CBS....Got a 62 strat....Clean :)

Got A Gibson dove custom acoustic.too....Had an ES335, sold it ... AAHHHHHH!

I worked for a tour company out of NYC...mixing...12yrs..
had to give it up...to much fun...hehe, got lucky and got to

335 young and dumb...needed money for something...also sold a 67 strat for 300 bucks...Les paul 69 for 500...long time ago...I did main sound, monitor mix and some gigs I just fixed shit or hot wired guitars and amps...Phone call and I'd be on a plane....Very fun...Very strange....
