Also, I've noticed a somewhat hatred for The Candid Board and some people on there. I'm new at this site, been going to the other one for about a month or so now. What's up with that? Was this site started as a result of something happening between a couple people on the other board? Just wondering. I've read a couple slams aimed at people on The Candid Board, and was just wondering what's up? Thanks.

TCB is more of a voyeur/nude board, we've gone back to the basics. The origin of TCB as it was by the original owners of it. This is a haven for those that want to see candids, not upskirts and out right porn.

Naturally, there's going to be some people who get rubbed the wrong way at TCB cause its so huge, so being that's the case, some guys will post their distent here.

At TCB, you dare not mention this board, but here, we allow you to mention them. Meaning, if someone gets done wrong here, they can't go there and complain or else their threads will get moved or deleted or banned. Kind of cute right?

Shark: A great many of the posters here cut their teeth at TCB. A great many of the posters here also do not particularly care for the direction that board has gone. I really don't think there is that much anomosity towards TCB here. There's pretty much an unwritten rule among us that we will not slam TCB.

I only contribute to this board, cO. I ocassionally will visit the other board but that's not what I'm looking for.
I like cO and usually log into it at least once a day and have enjoyed it since joining 1 year ago. In fact, I'm approaching 1000 posts: lots of pic contributions and many comments to other people's posts.
I think the respect given in this "community" is one of the main reasons I have stayed and contribute.
cO and TCB are 2 different boards, attracting some of the same visitors, but they shouldn't be compared.
I think you'll find most of the folks visiting cO do so because of the respect that has been kindled here, especially people like archman, mort, dp, etc., etc.
I'm hoping this board stays as it is. It has helped me improve my photography and I thank all of the people who contribute here for that!

I too only contribute to this board for similar reasons. (ok I haven't contributed too many pics, I do leave a lot of comments to let people know that I appreciate their pics.) It is a well run and high class site. The people contributing here always put up high quality photos which make me want to improve my technique.

And this is a real community. You get to know people and learn their style of photos or their personality or both.

I happened across this board by finding the magazine that was put out before, then was impressed by this message board so I stayed. I also recognized some of the people from the old Yahoo group. I think it was called voyeraography or something similar to that.

1. No ones content is being sold with out there permission. You can submit your content to the paid area if you want.... but you have ever posted on TCB, and you didnt submit the content to the paid area.... your content is still in the free area.

In addition to the FAQ ..... On the bottom of the site it says:

All Images contained at The Candid Board are copyrighted by their respective owners and may not be used or re posted elsewhere other than The Candid Board without the express written permission of their owners.

No one is profiting from your images and if you want all your threads to be moved off the free area just let me know.

I agree with Pixelated and BigCityScene.

I joined both this board and TCD at the end of may. At first I was going to post threads on both sites, but I've never made a thread at TCB.

In my opinion, cO members have a better bond and the pixx here are far better most of the time :)
At TCB, a lot of pixx are posted just to be posted. That reduces the quality of the entire site a great deal.


As for the better communitiy: before posting any pixx, I asked how to make a logo and putting it in my pixx, but no-one answered at TCB. I think you're not worthy of any time if you're a newbie...

When I asked to same question here, a lot people gave me feedback. I still get constuctive feedback on the threads I make (http://forum.candidography.com/search.php?do=process&showposts=0&starteronly=1&exactname=1&searchuser=chickpixx).

And I choose my shots carefully now, thanks to the pixx I've seen from DeliriousPixel, eagleeye, CANTGETENUF, L Digital, pez, SnapShotz, Thunder Pixx, Stuff, mort, P3, etc :bowdown:

That gives me the boost to shoot and post better pixx.

I may never reach their quality of posts, but at least I'm trying to make a good contribution to cO...



DON'T GET ME WRONG: I'm not trying to say that TCB sucks or anything, it's just that cO fits me better :)

I just feel that we don't have as many pixx as TCD, but the quality here is better and our group is tighter :thumbup:

There's one link up by a sponsor. candidbikinibeach was up there for a month and no one said anything. That's pretty voyeuristic of a site. Sederf was up there for two months, hella voyeuristic of a site and guess what? no one said a thing. Valis23.com was up there for a month and again, no one said a word. TCB goes up and all you hipocrites start bitching.

Grow up and put your problems behind you. If ANYONE deserves to hold grudges and have a problem it's me. I worked my ass off to make tcb what it was and I sold it. It went the opposite of what I intended so instead of bitching like you guys, I created this place. I got over it, so should you. You have no reason to fear this place will become like tcb. There's but a few people who have actually showed they care about the direction of tcb by donating money to keep the place going. Those people are the ONLY people I care about when they express concerns about the direction.

It's a fucking banner people. Click it and move on with life. Grow up and if you don't like it, don't click it. Pretty simple really.

Damnit Boss, thanks for saying what needed to be said. I come for the pics not for the drama. A few weeks ago, the Home page to this site was changed. It has numerous links to sites that "supposedly" (according to numerous members of this forum) go against what this board is all about. "voyeuristic", "pornography", "nude" sites. Some website titles.."upskirt champ" , "big ass titties...and such. I was waiting for these members to make some comments or stop visiting CO but they haven't. Hhhhmmmmm........I know it takes money to maintain a site like this, and I know you deserve to put some money in your pocket for all your hard work. I have never paid/donated money to maintain any website, I do, however, submit my fair share of images to any site that I belong to. I belong to C0, TCB, and Fastu's Laundrymat. (My favorite board). each has it's own niche, which I enjoy. All like all the styles represented by these boards. Iam an all around type of guy. If anybody doesn't like a certain style or a certain site...like you said.......don't click on it. pretty simple. I have no problem with Satan's material, nor do I have a problem with his Avatar or sig. His photos may not be artsy fartsy, and are mostly images of cheap looking floozies, but they are of sexy women nonetheless, which is why these boards exist. In closing, I have no problems submitting pics. I like to think of it as sharing pics. If it helps make this site more successful, and puts a penny in your pocket big deal. If I wanted to start my own site, to make money I would. if anybody didn't like what I had to say......:mlm05:
