Alright. I use Adobe Premeire to capture, edit, and export my video.
I usually, upon completing any post production, choose wmv for broadband. It seem to have a decent quality to file size ratio.
I recently have been trying to achieve better quality but find myself with a huge file.
I know that there are a lot of books on the subject, but I have never been too good at extracting knowledge from a book.
I tried DiVX a bit but sometimes I am unable to choose it as a compressor.
If anyone can help remove the veil of confusion from mine eyes I will be happy to share my experimentations wit choo.

Well I thought The info about frame rate and such
was enough to solve the prob.

I try to use Divx 5.1 720x480 3000 bit rate
It tells me that it will not support the frame size and or disk full(nope)

I'll just keep pokin at it

Alright I had to download a fresh copy of Divx but now its working fine.
I could only find a trial version.
It turned a 109 mb capture into a 8.3 mb file. I think it looks better
than the 21 mb file that radius shit came up with.

Thanks dog fo da hep. Sometimes just hearing the right word at the right time
can change the whole way I see.

I replaced the other with the new version.

ya the new version is much better.

one other trick to lowering file size without compromising video quality is in the sound.

you have it set to 1500 kb/s stereo, 48000 Hz. that's fine if you put music to it and really want to hear quality sound. however in this case since the sound doesn't really play a role you could set it to 500 kb/s mono, 8000 Hz. or just leave the sound out. this will lower the file size.
