yes i'm on dialup. damn i hate it!

We in africa are not as privileged as you 1st worlders! ;)
nah just kidding we do have broadband here but i'm just to cheap to buy it. Well actually that is because its a F***in rip off! Our broadband is well over 200% higher than anywhere else in the world! and we earn well over 200% less.....
So basically i have to suffer here on dialup for a while until things change...
The irritating thing is that i have f***in thousands of shots that i wanna post but just can't because its like a 2 hour process just to drop ONE image post! ( our lines are very slow;) )
Oh and our phone calls are also hellishly expensive! Oh and so are our cameras!! damn, now i'm just feeling sorry for myself! :)

yea i use to be in that same postion as you. over here in the U.S. we have dsl which is someting in between a reg modem and cable modem/broadban. i am happy with it and it's kindda cheaper than my old AOL which i still have. good luck on the post then

Take your time, DRS. You'll be able to spread out your material for an extended period, which is probably better than one huge post which will get buried in the queue in a day or two. I, on the other hand, have such a limited amount of stuff that it makes me feel terrible to not be able to post very often, even if I can do it in a second. Additionally, I shoot film, so I need to get it processed and then scan it (sometimes many times) until I can get a dust-free image. You'll be okay, man. It gives us all something to look forward to.
